Sophie Davis
is a printmaker and bookbinder whose work explores the beauty and fragility of the landscape. Using techniques such as collagraph, monoprinting and etching, she builds richly layered prints that combine texture, depth and subtle colour.
Inspired by the dramatic coastlines of Cornwall and the Isle of Skye, as well as the softer hills and woodlands of Somerset and Wiltshire, her work captures the shifting moods of the natural world.
Alongside her prints, Sophie creates handbound sketchbooks and notebooks, bringing together printmaking and traditional bookbinding in beautifully crafted, functional pieces. Sophie also makes the most wonderful silver earrings with her own images, each earring is a little work of art.
