Jon Roynon
Jon Roynon is a Wiltshire-based ceramicist working from Corsham, where he produces small-batch handmade ceramics that blend craft with an engineering sensibility. Originally trained as a structural engineer, his background continues to inform his practice, with a focus on balance, precision and form.
Working across both thrown and slip-cast processes, Jon creates functional ware alongside sculptural pieces, often combining clean, architectural forms with fluid, high-flow glazes to achieve dynamic surface effects.
A finalist on Series 6 of The Great Pottery Throw Down, his work reflects a playful dialogue between structure and spontaneity. He produces limited runs of ceramics, each piece carefully made and distinctive in character.
