Handmade in Bradford on Avon (Handmade BOA) is a community-led shop celebrating local creativity, craftsmanship and independent makers. Based in the heart of Bradford on Avon, in a historic building, we bring together a carefully curated collection of artists, designers and makers from across Wiltshire and the surrounding area.

We operate as a Community Interest Company (CIC), which means our purpose goes beyond retail. We exist to support local creatives, provide opportunities for makers to grow their practice, and contribute to the cultural life of the town. Any surplus is reinvested back into the business and the community we serve.

Our aim is to create a welcoming, inclusive space where handmade work is valued and accessible. Everything in the shop is made in small batches, reflecting the individuality, skill and care of each maker. From ceramics, glass and jewellery to textiles, prints, homeware and gifts, every piece has its own story.

Handmade BOA is run collaboratively, with many of our makers involved in the day-to-day running of the shop. This creates a friendly and knowledgeable environment where visitors can connect directly with the people behind the work and gain insight into the making process.
